6 things I wish Apple did

Being the user friendly products which Apples devices already are, there are some things I wished Apple could do to make them even better.

Earphones have a well known track record of mingling among themselves and taking forever to get untangled. Tangle free wires in earphones and headphones are now a common offering from major makers. HTC ships tangle free earphones bundled with most of its phones nowadays.

Tangle free wires in EarPods would be a great value addition.

The battery on the iPhone lasts just about as much promised but when mobile data is switched on, it starts draining faster. Samsung termed iPhone users “wall huggers” in an ad a while ago. On the other hand, iPad has an impressive battery backup. Heres a review of the iPad Air I did some time ago. And how iOS 8 does on the iPad Air

If only iPhones could last as long as iPads.

Sort out the WiFi issues on iPhone and iPad

With every new iteration of an idevice a lot of new features are showcased but one thing remains, WiFi issues. Anything less than a strong signal makes the WiFi reception fluctuate. There is some work required there, after all iPhones are meant to be taken around.

Make sturdy charging cables

This is a common sight after using the bundled cables for a couple of months. Be it the iPad, iPhone or iPod, all of them come with these cables which seldom last as much as they should.

There are some hacks to use them for long but the consumers surely deserve a better charging cable for the premium price they pay.

Have a bigger presence in India

Apple products cost a fortune in India. There are no contract options from the mobile carriers here. The only way is to pay the staggering amount for an unlocked iPhone. Also, there are various taxes involved which make buying from the US and then bringing them to India a cheaper option.

There has been some development and Foxconn, a major iPhone manufacturer is planning to open a plant in India but cheaper iPhones still seem to be a long shot.

An Apple store here would give Indians a complete experience. Product launches, demos, the genius bar and the exquisite construction of the store is something being missed by a lot of customers here.
